Just in time for summer time, a new canalside restaurant has opened in Hackney Wick.

Lanterna, at Fish Island, serves stone-baked pizza and is proprietor Declan Perkins’ fifth London cafe.

It follows The Lauriston in Victoria Park, The Regent in Islington, Clissord Park Tavern in Stoke Newington, and Luppolo in Wanstead.

He said: “We are a family members-owned business enterprise with potent roots in Hackney, we are proud that our sites are not just great destinations to try to eat and consume but serve as community hubs much too. Lanterna will be no diverse.

“We are delighted to be opening in this blossoming section of Hackney Wick, a stone’s throw from London Stadium, bringing with us our famous stone baked pizza as well as enjoyable new aspects like our deli and weekend brunch.

“We glance forward to Lanterna becoming a destination spot for Fish Island locals and those people travelling from additional afield to this vivid and artistic element of East London.”

Lanterna opened its doors on July 1, and will be featuring 2 pizzas for £15  all thirty day period.

Internet marketing manager Rebecca Simms said: “We want to make sure that we come to be an integral portion of the neighborhood, that we turn out to be a spot for the people.”
